Biography
Jacob Kettner has been fascinated by the art of magic and illusion since he saw his first magic show at the age of six. At age seven he began taking magic classes and performing for friends and family alike. When Jacob turned eight, he and his family moved to Winnipeg Manitoba, and he put aside magic for a few years, not knowing where to go or who to look to for further education. At age 11 Jacob discovered the local magic shop, and was back into the flow of magic. Over the next seven years, Jacob practiced magic, spending much time performing for friends and family and developing his stage personality. It was in the spring of 2004 that Jacob opened his first show. Jacob has discovered a passion for street performing, and spends his summers performing at markets and festivals. In winter, Jacob performs for children’s birthday parties, bar mitzvahs, Christmas parties, etc. He is highly skilled in close-up magic (performing one on one or for small audiences) as well as having an exuberant stage personality and a comedic but jaw-dropping stand up show. Currently Jacob is in the midst of developing a full-length illusion show, which will hopefully premier in the fall of 2007.
